Footbag Joulukalenteri 2015 – Day 13 – Shredded Wheat

Day 13 of the Joulukalenteri sees another blast from the past thanks to Erik Chan, with Sean Wingert’s Shredded Wheat.

Shredded Wheat comes from the action around the 1997 Worlds in Portland, Oregon, the birthplace of the sport of footbag. The 2017 Worlds will mark 20 years since the last time they hosted Worlds, as well as 45 years since the baby steps of the sport were taken.

Enjoy this look back on the past. Peter Irish took out the singles freestyle title that year ahead of Scott Davidson, while Ida Fogle set the world record in the women’s 5 minute consecutive kicks with 804.

Thanks again to Erik Chan for the classic upload, and to Sean Wingert for the making of the video in the first place.

If you haven’t got the full hour to watch today’s video, here’s a video I made a few years back with some great background scenery on a trip to Patagonia.
