With players like Jim Penske and Lon Smith throwing down big combinations on a daily basis, Boise proved an idea choice for this year’s tournament. People like Bob Green were also influential in the organisation of the tournament.
Penske, recently inducted into the Footbag Hall of Fame, was in his element in the Request Contest, taking the title in Round 12 and continuing on for some extra combos.

Thanks to some generous donations, there was a serious prize pool up for grabs with footbags, shoes and cash among the prizes..

The event also got some media coverage for the sport of footbag, with channels such as KTVB and Idaho News 6 taking an interest.
Promotion for the tournament including a large sign bearing Penske’s image, a great way to promote the sport.
