0End of the world for Paredes, Canales and Andía
The World Cup dream has ended for Esteban Paredes, Gustavo Canales and Enzo Andía.
The three players have been released by Chile manager Jorge Sampaoli and will not take part in the World Cup in Brazil.
Many pundits thought Colo Colo striker Paredes, the top scorer in the Clausura, and Unión Española striker Canales were fighting it out for a place, but they have both been axed.
Young Universidad Católica centre-back Enzo Andía was an outsider to make the final 23-man squad, so it´s not such a surprise that he´s been let go.
Meanwhile, on the domestic front, Unión Española have signed experienced midfielder Milovan Mirosevic, who was recently released in controversial fashion by Católica, on a two-year contract.
