Bachelet gives her backing to la Roja

President Michelle Bachelet has visited the Chilean World Cup squad to wish them luck ahead of the tournament in Brazil.
Bachelet was accompanied by Sports Minister Natalia Riffo and ANFP president Sergio Jadue when she visited la Roja’s Juan Pinto Durán training headquarters.
The president greeted all the players and received an Alexis Sánchez Barcelona number seven shirt.
Bachelet confirmed that she will travel to Brazil and attend the first group game against Australia on June 13 in Cuiabá.
She told the players: “You are bearers of the dreams of millions of Chileans. Don´t ever forget that we are proud of you and will be supporting you in every moment.”
Chile captain Claudio Bravo said: “We want to thank the President for visiting us. It gives us extra motivation.”
Chile play their final warm-up match against Northern Ireland in Valparaíso tomorrow night and then fly to Brazil on Thursday.
