Uruguay to Take on Hong Kong on Road to World Cup

Uruguay will hope to take a further step on their way to the 2015 Rugby World Cup in England, hosting Hong Kong at home.

The clash at Estadio Charrúa will take place on August 2 and act as a semi-final in the repechage stages, with the winner playing up against the best out of Zimbabwe and Russia for a place in the England tournament.

Only one place remains vacant in the draw, with Namibia pushing their way into the tournament thanks to winning the African qualifying tournament. The winner of the repechage will have no easy draw, with the final place in Pool A alongside Australia, England, Wales and Fiji.

Russia will be the favourites to qualify in the other match, ensuring home ground advantage by playing the match in Siberia. The winner of the final qualifying place will be decided by the end of October.

Chile can only look on and dream of what could have been after once again losing to Uruguay during the qualifying process.
