Old Macks prove too strong for Old Georgians

Old Macks remain top of Group B in the Central ADO Primera rugby tournament after winning their top-of-the-table showdown against Old Georgians.
The Reñaca outfit ran out 45-33 victors against Old Georgians in an entertaining clash. Despite the win, Old Macks only have a one-point advantage over Universidad Católica at the summit.
That´s because Católica edged to a 24-23 victory at Old John´s. In the other Group B match, Troncos demolished Viña 76-0.
In Group A, runaway leaders COBS were able to have a rest at the weekend.
In their absence, Stade Francais moved level on points with second-placed Country Club by beating them 17-14 at home.
Sporting ran out surprisingly easy 43-14 winners against Old Boys, while Old Reds earned a much-needed victory with a 22-17 success at Alumni, who now lie bottom.
This Saturday, County Club host COBS (4.30pm), Old Boys entertain Stade Francais (3.30pm) and Alumni face Sporting (4.30pm) in Group A.
In Group B, Old Macks entertain Troncos (3.30pm) and Viña take on Universidad Católica (3pm).
