As promised, Sport/Life will be bringing a daily guide to what’s happening in Chile’s sporting world.
Rugby – Torneo Juvenil Seven Viña del Mar – Mackay School
Not to be confused with the Seven Viña , which take place later in the month, this month pits junior teams up against each other, with one guest team of the sixteen from Argentina.
Entrance: CL$1,000 (children under 12 free)
Volleyball – Copa Providencia – Gimnasio Santa Isabel
The volleyball action will continue in the Gimnasio Santa Isabel. The first match will begin at 10am, with the final match happening at 8:30pm. Action will continue right through until January 16. The full program can be found here.
Surfing – Maui Reñaca Pro – Reñaca
The first event of the national tour continues until Sunday. More information, including photos and videos can be found on the website.
Basketball – Semi final Liga Nacional Movistar
Semi final time in the national basketball league, with two matches each over the weekend for Tinguiririca San Fernando vs Puerto Varas and Boston College vs Osorno.
Tinguiririca San Fernando vs Puerto Varas. 7pm Colegio Maristas de San Fernando.
Boston College vs Osorno. 9pm. Boston College.
Football
O’Higgins and Santiago Wanderers got their campaigns off to strong starts in their respective “home away from home”. Primera B action also starts today.
