0Chile prepare to face France in Toulon
Chile Under-21s face a tough test when they launch their Toulon Tournament campaign against hosts France tomorrow.
The prestigious competition is a great opportunity for young players from around the world to show their talent on the international stage.
Ten Under-21 teams have been invited to take part in the event which begins tomorrow and runs until June 1.
Chile have been drawn in Group A alongside France, Portugal, Mexico and China. Group B is made up of Brazil, Colombia, England, South Korea and Qatar.
The first match is Mexico v Portugal at 11.15am, Chile time, tomorrow, while that´s followed by Chile v France at 1.30pm.
O´Higgins midfielder César Fuentes said: “The first game is fundamental and although we haven´t played France before, this game will be very important to begin the tournament in the best way possible.”
Chile´s 20-man squad is now complete following the arrivals of Nicolás Castillo (Club Bruges, Belgium) and Christian Bravo (Granada, Spain).
The squad includes a number of players who featured in the Under-20 World Cup in Turkey a year ago.
After the France match, Chile return to action on Friday to take on Portugal (11.15am).
