Chile´s top three women´s players suffered immediate exits in the Wiesbadeb Tennis Open.
Germany – Daniela Seguel, Andrea Koch and Cecilia Costa had hoped to win through the qualifying competition to enter the main draw, but were unable to make progress in the US $25,000, clay court event.
Chilean number one Seguel, at a career-high 257 in the world rankings, fought hard, but succumbed 6-4, 6-4 against Austria´s Yvonne Neuwirth (412).
