Libcentro basketball returns with a bang

There will be some heavyweight clashes when the Libcentro basketball competition resumes this weekend.
After a break for the South American Championships, the Libcentro returns with the quarter-finals – and the stakes are high.
The winners of the best-of-three ties will earn places in the cuadrangular final and also guarantee their place in the Liga Nacional.
One of the most eagerly awaited match-ups is a repeat of last season’s Libcentro final when Boston College defeated Tinguiririca San Fernando, who later in the year won the Liga Nacional.
Tinguiririca have home advantage tomorrow night (9pm) and will want to make it count. Boston College will host games two, and three if necessary, the following weekend.
Another mouth-watering tie sees unbeaten Colegio Los Leones and Colo Colo go head-to-head. Colo Colo play their home leg at Gimnasio Boston College in Maipú on Sunday (5.30pm).
The other unbeaten team, Universidad de Concepción, face a trip to Español de Talca in game one tomorrow (7pm). U de Conce have an injury doubt over key man Evandro Arteaga, who has an ankle injury.
In the other last eight match, surprise package Árabe de Valparaíso host Universidad Católica tomorrow night (8pm).
