2Wimbledon doubles delight for Seguel
Daniela Seguel is one round away from the Wimbledon women´s doubles main draw.
The 21-year-old Chilean has formed a new partnership with Serbia´s Vesna Dolonc and they enjoyed immediate success in the first qualifying round of the doubles.
The duo beat Argentina´s María Irigoyen and Colombia´s Mariana Duque-Marino by a surprisingly easy 6-1, 6-3 to book their passage into the second qualifying round.
Now the Chile/Serbia combination face Switzerland´s Timea Bacsinszky and Sweden´s Johanna Larsson for a place in the main draw.
Amazingly, the Panther, ranked 112 in doubles, is the first Chilean women in Grand Slam action for 31 years.
