Triathlete Carvallo gets set for World challenge

Triathlete Valentina Carvallo is looking forward to taking on the world’s best in Canada in September.
The Club Deportivo Universidad Católica competitor has just received the official notification of her qualification to the World Championships in Quebec and is excited about the challenge ahead.
By winning the prestigious Ironman 70.3 of Pucón twice in succession, the Chilean has shown that she would be able to mix it with the cream.
Carvallo will have the chance to be part of a history-making event as it will be the first time the Ironman 70.3 World Championships will be held outside the United States.
It´s expected that more than 1,800 triathletes from more than 50 countries will take part in the taxing challenge.
The 1,900 metre swimming in Lake Tremblant will be followed by 90km on the bike through the Mont-Tremblant mountains. Finally, there will be the 20km of running.
