0Chile in the mix for World Cup golf glory
Chile lost the leadership, but are still well and truly in the hunt for team glory in the Toyota Junior Golf World Cup in Japan.
Chile led by a stroke from defending champions Venezuela and the United States after the first round and are now third with two rounds played.
The United States have taken the lead with -11, while Italy lie second with -9. Chile are third with -8 and Venezuela fourth with -7. It means there is everything to play for with two rounds remaining.
Joaquín Niemann has led the Chilean assault on the title. He´s third on the individual leaderboard with -8 from 36 holes. Rodrigo Rivas has also impressed with -3 at the Chukyo Golf Club.
The World Cup features the best young players from 15 countries, who won through regional qualifying competitions in six continents. More than 60 countries started out on the road to Japan.
Chile´s team is made up of Niemann, Rivas, Lucas Rosso and Diego Salinas.
